If you want to be close to great schools, golf, shopping, restaurants and the beach, you should definitely investigate the five neighborhoods that comprise the
Gulf Gate community here in Sarasota Florida. Gulf Gate is clearly one of the most popular Sarasota neighborhoods
Semi-private Gulf Gate Golf Club, located in the heart of the community includes an 18-hole course and an Executive 9-hole course.
The 18-hole "Red" course is a par 57 course, while the 9-hole "Blue" course has a par of 29. As the course weaves through the neighborhood with fairly narrow
fairways, the requirement for accurate shot placements makes most courses challenging.
Gulf Gate residents enjoy quiet streets lined with native oak trees and wide sidewalks weaving throughout the five neighborhoods. One short bike ride
down these shaded streets takes you to the Causeway to Siesta Key. Gulf Gate is, in fact, one of the most affordable neighborhoods so close to the Siesta Key
Beach. At the southwest corner of the neighborhoods you'll find a unique shopping area with little galleries, crafts stores, informal restaurants and gourmet
specialty shops.
The 5 neighborhoods that comprise the area include Gulf Gate, Gulf Gate East, Gulf Gate Manor, Gulf Gate Pines and Gulf Gate Woods and is comprised mostly
of older ranch homes. Gulf Gate is known for pride of ownership demonstrated by the residents.
Home prices in the Gulf Gate vary by neighborhood but most of the homes are available in the $200's and $300's with larger homes ranging up to the mid $400's
making it one of the more affordable Sarasota neighborhoods. I'd be delighted to show you homes in each of the several Gulf Gate neighborhoods.
